Label Relief and Development Organization (LARDO) is pleased to announce the successful completion of the “Strengthening Community-Led Protection and Preparedness Plan in Beledweyne District” project, implemented from April to June 2026 with the generous support of ActionAid International Somalia. The project was implemented in Raage Idle and Alle Suge IDP sites and focused on strengthening community-based protection for women, girls, children, and other vulnerable groups.
Throughout the project, LARDO conducted a range of activities, including community risk assessments, service mapping, awareness sessions for men and boys, women’s sensitization forums, engagement with religious leaders and local authorities, training of community first responders, and strengthening referral pathways for vulnerable individuals.
A key achievement of the project was the establishment and use of the Referral Management System (RMS), which improved coordination and access to specialized protection services.
LARDO extends its sincere appreciation to ActionAid International Somalia, local authorities, community leaders, partner organizations, and the residents of Raage Idle and Alle Suge for their collaboration and commitment throughout the project.
